These offline recap sessions aim to update student’s knowledge which might be compromised during online classes. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will begin its new academic session from 1st April 2021. Hence, the schools are instructed to resolve all the learning gaps before any exams.
The main reason for this learning gap is the covid-19 pandemic and its subsequent lockdown. Hence, it forced the Indian education system to transition to a digital mode which had several shortcomings. Numerous students did lag in academics. Hence, offline recap sessions are necessary.
The majority of states are reopening schools for classes 9th to 12th. Hence, students need to deck up for physical classes and clear previous years’ doubts. Sanyam Bharadwaj, Joint Secretary of CBSE says that offline exams will be conducted for classes 11th and 12th students. Therefore, schools will follow all covid-19 safety protocols along with the state government’s and CBSE’s guidelines.

What are the offline recap sessions?
Any sort of learning gap will be addressed in the new class, i.e. in the new academic session. Hence, the students can clear all their concepts and queries which they could not in online classes. Therefore, the initial days of the new academic session will function as offline recap sessions.
The offline recap seasons will not be considered as any course. Hence, they are simply a recapitulation session of important topics and concepts. It will be the responsibility of each subject teacher to revise. Therefore, the student can update their knowledge which will help them grasp further concepts.

How will the offline recap sessions undergo?
Students will be divided into batches with 15 – 20 students in each class. Hence, the same topic will be revised thrice for each batch. Therefore, this hectic task is willingly taken for student’s academic progress.
WHAT CHANGES ARE MADE IN THE CBSE 10TH BOARD EXAM PATTERN?
Student’s concepts were hampered in various subjects which needs a practical explanation. Hence, they didn’t get it due to online classes and irregular Internet access. However, the offline recap sessions will cover everything. These sessions will also be organized in the summer vacations of students.
