On Friday, adorning PPE Kits, NSUI members were protesting against the CBSE Class 12 Board exams. While NSUI Protests against CBSE class 12 board exams, it staged an SIT-IN in front of the Ministry of education. NSUI, the students’ wing of congress party, demands the cancellation of the CBSE class 12 Board exams.
While raising the slogan, “Pehle Suraksha, Phir pariksha’ (first safety, then exams)”, and wearing PPE Kits. Further, NSUI stated that they are following all the COVID-19 protocols while staging this protest.
Neeraj Kundan, NSUI national president, shared that he wrote a letter to the ministry a few days ago. Also, he shared that he mentioned in the letter that the ministry is yet to come up with a policy or any guideline to ensure the safety of students.

Further, he added that this lack of planning will harm the academic year of those students. He suggested promoting students through internal assessments as the only solution.
As India is battling with the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, the government needs to come up with an alternative for examinations, he added.

Neeraj Kundan also said that the schools can grade the students based on their past performances, classroom assessments, and assignments. Risking the lives of these students is an insensitive decision, NSUI President said.
