NSUI protested against the new guidelines of UGC in front of the HRD Ministry.  The congress affiliated National Student Union of India on Tuesday displayed a protest outside the Human Resource   Development’s building.

According to the revised guidelines,  the final years’ exams are scheduled in September.

However, the protesters were detained by the police and taken to Mandir Marg Police Station. But,  they were released in the afternoon.

Neeraj Kundan, the head of NSUI, led the opposition.  Other students’ volunteers and office bearers also joined the protest.

Kundan bluntly asked questions regarding the execution scheme of exams. He asked if the Parliament has been suspended due to COVID 19 pandemic, why students’ lives have put in danger?

The exams should not take place and it is would prove fatal. Pointing more than 10 lakh cases in the country,  he alleged that the government does not worry about students’ safety.

Adding further,  he said that even parents are worried about the uncertainty about the exams. Also, they are highly concerned about the newly devised OBE outlet and the safety of their children.
