Delhi University and Delhi Government are dealing with some issues since last week. Teachers and other staff members of Delhi University colleges funded by Delhi Government have not received their monthly salary from more than three months.

Delhi Government said that it has already released 23 percent of funds for 12 colleges. The government released funds of this year for those colleges that it funds on its own. Still, these colleges are not paying teachers and staff their salary. They simply state that the college is ‘short of funds.’ The Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said Delhi Government increased 70 percent budget in five years in these colleges. Still, teachers and staff are struggling to get their monthly salary and that indicates ‘corruption’.
