Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Thursday spoke to students, teachers, and parents on the issue of upcoming board exams and competitive exams through live sessions on social media and answered their questions. The Education Minister said that the date and the syllabus of competitive examinations will be decided later.
He said that to reduce the burden on students, CBSE has reduced the syllabus by 30 percent. He also said that the CBSE board has removed the word fail from the evaluation system.
Giving important information during this, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that there is no plan to cancel NEET 2021 (NEET 2021) examinations. He said that we postponed the NEET three times in 2020 and gave students the option to change the exam center. We could cancel the examinations, but it would have caused a lot of damage to the students.
He further said that NEET proved to be the largest conduct of examinations in the world during the Corona period. If the safety guidelines are followed properly then no student will be infected with Covid-19.
In response to a question, Nishank said that JEE Main examination is held twice a year. The government is considering the suggestion of doing it three to four times. The Education Minister said that many students are asking me what will be done to increase the conduct of competitive examinations.

The ministry is considering whether JEE exams should be conducted twice, thrice, or four times. If it is possible, then we will decide on it. Please tell that JEE Main exam is currently held twice a year.

Explain that when there will be other board exams including CBSE in Corona crisis, how will it be, what will be the schedule of competitive entrance examinations like JEE Main and NEET, there is a lot of confusion among the students about all these questions.
