No adhoc teachers working in government colleges of Delhi will be removed. The government has been demanded to permit all these adhoc teachers. This demand has been made by the Delhi Teachers Association. According to Sushil Gupta, Rajya Sabha MP of Aam Aadmi Party from Delhi, recruits are taking place in the government colleges of Delhi, but Adhoc teachers will not be removed from any college.

Sushil Gupta said, it has been learned that principals have not been appointed in Delhi’s government colleges for a long time.

It will be the endeavor of the government that there should be the permanent appointment of principals in colleges where advertisements for principal posts have been released. Teachers and non-academic posts can be appointed soon only when principals are permanent.

Rajya Sabha MP from Aam Aadmi Party Sushil Kumar Gupta gave this information in a meeting with the members of the teachers’ organization Delhi Teachers Association (DTA). Over 50 teachers were present with the panel on the occasion.

Sushil Gupta, citing the Ministry of Education’s letter dated 5 December 2019, told the teachers that they would write a letter to pressurize the Central Government and the University of Delhi to implement that letter. He said that because of not applying the letter for the last one year, there is an atmosphere of fear and fear among the teachers.

Professor Hansraj Suman, in charge of the Delhi Teachers Association, said that for the first time the DTA has fielded Dr. Narendra Kumar Pandey as EC candidate in DU. Dr. Pandey is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Ramlal Anand College and has been an elected member of the DUTA Executive.

The candidate is Dr. Asha Rani in the Scholar Council, Associate Professor in the Department of Hindi at PGDAV College, evening. Sunil Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce at Bhagat Singh College, evening.

He has told that he will take his agenda among the teachers in which the main issues will be resolved. Keeping the letter dated 5 December 2019, no adhoc teacher should be removed till permanent appointment.

The process of permanent appointments in the colleges coming under the Delhi Government will be started as soon as possible. Also, the UGC will be pressured to end the 2010 Ph.D. requirement for Associate Professors.
