NID DAT 2022: National Institute of Design (NID DAT) mains exam date has been finalized. The date of NID DAT mains conduction is 6 June. Moreover, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the mode of exam will be hybrid. The applicants should check all the guidelines and instructions before appearing for the exam.

For the M.Des program, the studio test will conduct in offline mode at the NID campus. And, the interview will hold in an online mode. Further, NID DAT M.Des Main Exam 2022 will be conducted from 6 to 24 June this year.

On 29 April, the National Institute of Design (NID) issued the NID DAT 2022 Mains admit card for MDS programs. Whereas NID DAT Mains Admit Card for Studio Test released as per the preferences selected by the candidates.

NID DAT 2022: How will the M.Des conduct? 

The NID DAT exam for the M.Des program comprises two stages. Includes Studio test and interview. The studio test mode of the exam is offline at the NID campus. On the other hand, interviews will be taken in online mode. 

Besides, shortlisted candidates for the NID DAT Main exam are asked to upload their SOP and portfolio too. The SOP must contain 100 words maximum for each question. And, should be uploaded as a single PDF. The file limitation is 2 MB.

NID DAT Mains 2022: Know Instructions 

  • The NID studio test will not be rescheduled or deferred.
  • In any case, if a candidate couldn’t appear in the interview round (online). Then the admit card for the studio test will not be created.
  • Further, at the time of the studio test, candidates should bring a hard copy of the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT). Also, photo ID proof and admit card. 
  • Attention candidates! Only appearing for the NID DAT mains exam doesn’t ensure admission.

About NID DAT

NID DAT is a national-level entrance test. Through which candidates are shortlisted for admission to UG and PG courses of NID Campus. So, candidates will have to pass the NID Preliminary and Main Exam. This way, they become eligible for admission to Bachelor of Design (BDE) and Master of Design (MDS).
