Passengers have been urged by the railways to wear face masks mandatorily while traveling and only those who are asymptomatic passengers, will be allowed to travel that too after screening at departure.

Soon after the Indian railways made and announcement regarding the resumption of the train services, IRCTC resumed its ticketing services, yesterday, on Monday.

As per records, 30000 PNRs have been issued to the passengers and 54000 reservations have been done.

“These trains will be run as special trains from New Delhi station connecting Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad, and Jammu Tawi”, as per the Railway’s statement.

Passenger trains will run back on track connecting only 15 cities with the national capital, Delhi. All these trains will cover return journeys as well. This train service is in effect from May 12, which is just 5 days before the end the of third phase of the national lockdown which speaks much about the speculations regarding the lockdown extension and further conditions.

They must follow rules and orders while boarding the train are:-

⦁ Hand sanitizers will be available for use to passengers at the entry and exit of the station as well as coaches.
⦁ Only confirmed and valid ticket passengers will be allowed entry in the New Delhi Railway Station.
⦁ Wearing a face mask will be mandatory for all passengers.
⦁ Asymptomatic passengers, after screening at departure, will be allowed to travel.
⦁ Social distancing will be a must at all the time
⦁ Only AC coaches train will be running, stoppage made limited.
⦁ Fare of these Ac trains will be equivalent to Rajdhani Express.
⦁ No tatkal/ Premium Ticket Tatkal facility available.
⦁ No Blankets or bedding facility available, because of containing the virus spread.
⦁ Pantry services will remain suspended in the trains
⦁ Passengers advised and required to reach 90 minutes before the departure of their respective trains.
⦁ The use of the Arogya Setu App is mandatory.

As per the Indian Railways, Special shramik Trains will also be run to help the migrant laborers reach their homes and villages.
