The release of The Batman has been postponed which stars Robert Pattinson in the titular role. The earlier release date was October 1, 2021, but now, Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic Dune will be releasing in its place.
The Batman will now release on March 4, 2022, according to Variety. In the beginning, the movie was supposed to hit the screens in June 2021 but was pushed back to October 2021, because of the delay in shoots due to the outbreak of the pandemic.
The release of The Flash and Shazam 2 has also been pushed back by Warner Bros. Instead of June 23, 2022, the Ezra Miller-starrer will now hit the screens on November 4, 2022. Shazam 2 will now release on June 2, 2023, instead of November 4, 2022.
Since the pandemic put a halt to movie production, Warner Bros were forced to push the release date of its films.
The fourth film in the Matrix franchise, in a big development, has also got a new release date. The release of Rama Wachowski directorial has been preponed from April 1, 2022, to December 22, 2021, Variety reported. Carrie-Annie Moss, Keanu Reeves, and Jada Pinkett will make a comeback to the franchise with Matrix 4. The new additions to the sci-fi thriller are Priyanka Chopra, Jessica Henwick, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jonathan Groff, and Neil Patrick Harris.
