NEW DRONE RULES 2021: ENSURING EASE OF DRONE USE IN INDIA

The Indian Government announced the new drone rules. And, asked for suggestions from the stakeholders. On 15 July the government asked for comments on the same from the stakeholders till August 5. Now, the Civil Aviation Ministry has rolled out the New Drone Rules 2021. Wherein the Unnamed Aircraft Systems Rules 2021 would get replaced. And, according to the Gazette notification by the government.
The new rules have rolled out one week after the government gave conditional permission to 10 organizations. These are Steel Authority of India (SAIL), Mahindra and Mahindra, and Bayer Crop Science.
It became quite relevant to re-establish the Unnamed Aircraft System 2021.
However, As the whole drone community in India got disappointed with the older rules established. As they threatened to drown the drones if there’s any over-regulation.
However, the earlier set of rules have passed out just four months ago.

Wherein a huge lengthy consultation with the stakeholders. And, the new rules got lauded by the stakeholders as they simplify the process to a great extent.

NEW DRONE RULES AND THEIR USES

The Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in a press conference spoke about it. “We’ll ensure that the drones are being utilized in different fields. These include fields like Defense, Infrastructure, Mining, Logistics, Transportation, and more. But, We aim to provide jobs in this field and make India a Drone hub by 2030”

He added that presently more than 200 startups are working around the drone ecosystem in India. And, there’re possibilities that something similar to Drone taxis might get launched in India under the new drone 2021 policy.

Furthermore, under the new drone rules 2021. The heavy payload and drone taxis coverage has increased from 300 to 500 Kgs. The government said, that the number of forms has also been reduced from 25 to 5. As well there is no security clearance required for registration. And, or any licensed insurance of a drone is not required.

They added that under the new rule. No, a Pilot license is not required for Microdrones, Nano drones, and R&D organizations. There are no restrictions for drone operations. The digital sky would develop as a single window. A business-friendly online system under the new Drone rules 2021.
