The University of Delhi will be adding new courses. However, starting from this academic year. Physical education and Music (Hons) would be included in this academic year. The list of NEW ADDED COURSES IN DU includes Music and Physical Education.
 
To bring more Focus towards these subjects like music and physical education. This step has been taken by the committee. Physical education would be included as a Discipline in the B.A. program.
 
Jesus and Mary, Bhagini Nivedita, and Motilal Nehru College are the 3. Where (P.E.) would be included as a discipline.
 
Whereas, Music might be included as a B.A. (HONS) program. This course would be started at Hansraj College.

Physical Education as a course would be started for the first time. Earlier, it was a part of the Indra Gandhi Institute of Physical Education. Where P.E. was a subject.

NEW ADDED COURSES IN DU COMMITTEE

On 5th April, the committee for new courses approved the proposal. The committee and including the V.C. approved it after further inspection. The inspection was done in different colleges for the facilities available.
 
So,It would be placed before the academic council. And on 23rd August in the upcoming meet, discussed further.
 
The committee has recommended that the colleges be assigned for the P.E. discipline. They must have a maximum intake of 30 students from the 2021-22 academic sessions.
 And, The colleges would also have to give a proposal to the funding agency before starting the discipline.

NEW ADDED COURSES IN DU: ANALYSIS

 
Besides the new courses introduced. These include B.A. (HONS) history in Ramanujan college. Philosophy (HONS) in Deshbandu college. The B.SC in operational research would also be included in Ramanujan college,
Dayal Singh College (E), Shyam Lal and Janki Devi Memorial.

However, DUTA has protested against the NEP 2020 and has denied the meet on 23rd August. According to the association, it’s a step towards privatization. But,It is also very harmful to the reserved and EWS category students, currently studying in public funding universities. And,It would also degrade the quality of education. If under NEP2020, the ABC scheme would be included, added a teacher.
