New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will lecture a program on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the implementation of the NEP 2020 on July 29 in the country. This address of PM Narendra Modi will be done through video conferencing.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will also accompany the program and he will also address it. Meanwhile, on Monday, the government said the Lok Sabha that the Ministry of Education is formulating a draft of a bill for the association of the Higher Education Commission of India.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the Ministry of Education had declared the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 on 29 July 2020, In response to a written question asked in the Lok Sabha. As per this policy, there is a requirement for the formation of the Higher Education Commission of India. There will be 4 separate independent bodies for regulation, funding, accreditation, and making academic standards.
Multidisciplinary education and research university to develop opportunities:
Earlier last week, the Union Education Minister had said that the Multidisciplinary Education and Research University will develop new opportunities for the youth of the nation. It will facilitate inter-disciplinary research and make India a global hub of R&D.
While lecturing at the World University Summit organized by Jindal Global University through a digital medium, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had stated that the new National Education Policy-2020 has guided in new imagination for the Indian higher education system. This highlights Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of creating a self-reliant India.
