The results for the NEET UG 2020 have been announced and the National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the result link today for the candidates to check their result and score.
NEET UG 2020 results were announced yesterday on the official website of the NTA, i.e. nta.ac.in. The result link for the same is ntaneet.nic.in.
Soyeb Aftab from Odisha and Akanksha Singh from Delhi grabbed the top positions in the merit list scoring 720/720 each.
As per the reports, the total number of students who cleared the exam is 771,500 which makes up to 56.44% of the total candidates who appeared. Hence all those cleared the exam are now eligible for the counseling process and the candidates are advised to visit the respective websites to check the counseling schedule.
For all-India quota and the state quota seats, the counseling process will begin very soon.
Out of the 15.97 lakh students who applied for the exam, 13.66 lakh actually appeared for the exam which was initially scheduled to be conducted in the month of May but it was postponed to September 13 in the wake of the pandemic spread worldwide.
Those candidates who were unable to appear for the exam on 13 September 2020 were given yet another chance on October 14.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India will be conducting the Counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats soon. The counseling process for the same will be conducted at mcc.nic.in and students must keep a regular check on the website for the detailed schedule.
Separate merit lists will be prepared by the states on the all-India merit list and then the counseling will be conducted as per the state rules.
For Private medical colleges also, the state counselling authority only will be conducting the counseling.
