The exam dates for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET 2021 exam) have not been announced yet. According to the report, this year, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, senior officials of the Ministry of Education, and the National Testing Agency (NTA) will meet on Monday i.e. 25 January 2021 to discuss the modalities of the exam. In this meeting, the possibilities of conducting the NEET 2021 exam online and two in the year can be discussed.
According to the report, senior officers will discuss the possibility of conducting the exam in a computer-based mode like JEE Main. President of the AIIMS Faculty Association, Dr. Rakesh Yadav is in favor of conducting the NEET 2021 exam twice a year. The NEET Graduate Examination is one of the largest competitive examinations in the world for admission to MBBS / BDS courses in the country. Approximately 16 lakh students register for the exam every year.
Following the new measures taken by the Ministry of Education about conducting JEE Main 2021 4 times, many candidates have asked for more chances in NEET. As per the latest update, this may be the students’ wish.
NEET 2021: NO REDUCTION IN SYLLABUS, MORE CHOICES
Rakesh Yadav said, “Not being able to attend the exam could be a bad day for the students or there could be various reasons. Therefore, NEET can also be conducted multiple times like engineering entrance. ” Chancellor Dr. S. Kumar of Shri Devraj Urs University, Kola also feels that the academic year should not be wasted due to bad days. He also explains that the online mode of examination is an effective and efficient method of examination worldwide.
However, the modalities are to be examined and the National Testing Agency (NTA) will interest its logistics on Monday. Dr. Yadav has said that NTA can manage logistics and it may be a good idea to conduct NEET 2021 exam twice a year.
JEE AND NEET 2021 WILL BE BASED ON REVISED SYLLABUS: EDUCATION MINISTER
Industry experts have also said that conducting online exams in times of epidemics may be good for the future. Experts are talking about the possibility of multiple attempts for NEET, the only examination in the country for admission to more medical education. However, the final decision is with the Ministry of Health. In conversation with the students, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has agreed to discuss the matter and the possibility of conducting the exam in online mode.
