Under the Delhi University’s Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB), over 26 colleges that offer B.A. (Prog) and B.Com (Prog) are being run in various DU colleges. Now, these NCWEB centers are being tied to employment programs. After the spread of coronavirus is cured, 20 corporations will be contacted in the initial phase of the policy.

Those companies will come to the DU colleges and the placement will be done as per the choices of the girl students. Apart from this, more such enterprises will be called who provide training and internship opportunities for one or two weeks to students.

The first placement cell as per the initiative is set up at DU’s Sri Aurobindo College to support students and to make them self dependent. The center has been established on November 1st to provide employment. The center is objected to provide internships as well as job opportunities for NCWEB students. In total, over 26 centers of non-collegiate women’s education board are running in Delhi University colleges.

NCWEB: KNOW THE SCHEDULE OF ADMISSION PROCESS

NCWEB classes are held on Saturday’s and Sunday’s at these centers. The majority of the girl students studying in the NCWEB board comes from poor family backgrounds. Among them, some students are getting an education by running tuition or doing some part-time work. The rest of the time, the girls do nothing.

A policy has been made to link such girls with employment so that they can stand on their own feet. Before the end of the fifth and sixth semesters of these girls, an employment fair will be organized for them by contacting companies, in which employment will be arranged according to the interest of the students.
