The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights invoked the officials of the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE to collaborate with social media platforms to conduct classes.

Moreover, it says that it is not valid to encourage students to use social media handles. Social media is not a safe medium.

CBSE TO APPEAR ON NOVEMBER 9

The Central Board of Secondary Education is going to appear before the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, NCPCR on 9th November, 2020.

The Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced the news on Sunday that the Central Board of Secondary Education has partnered with Facebook to launch a curriculum. He tweeted and said that he congratulates the Central Board of Secondary Education and Facebook to launch certified programs in Augmented Reality for teachers.

Moreover, the board and Facebook launched a certified program for students as well on Digital Safety and Online Wellbeing. But, social media is not a days becoming a place of scam instead of explore. It is not safe for children to use social media, to get involved in the negative effects, and to learn unnecessary tactics.

SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT A SAFE PLATFORM

Priyank Kanoongo is the Chairman of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights. He said that it is not safe for children to use social media platforms now.

CBSE TO EXPLAIN THE REASON OF INVITING STUDENTS

So, the commission did not feel it right to invite students on these platforms. That is why it asked the officials of the Central Board of Secondary Education to explain it.

So, to educate students and educators, the Central Board of Secondary Education in partnership with Facebook. It has decided to launch a curriculum on “Augmented Reality” and “Digital Safety and Online Wellbeing.”
