Universities have been closed for a long time now. Students require access to the college laboratories for their experimentations and research work. They even need access to the college library for writing their theory. However, in the current Covid-19 situations, no such task is possible. Hence, these students are unable to perform the required research for their thesis. Rajnish Jain, the UGC Secretary says, ” The students are helpless without the required access.”
The University Grants Commission(UGC) had announced the new academic calendar on 29th April owing to the pandemic situation. Hence, the PhD and MPhil students were guided to submit their thesis by December 2020.
