In the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Delhi University (DU), the proposal of withdrawing the MPhil and Ph.D. programs in the French language was also there. This proposal has been approved by the Standing Committee.
Reportedly, this course which comes under the category of German and Romance Study has no teacher to teach the students. Therefore, the MPhil and Ph.D. degrees are being withdrawn from the courses offered.
The Standing Committee of DU has given a green signal to the B.Sc. (Environmental Science) degree at Ramanujan College. The students can now also register themselves to take admissions into this course of DU.
The Standing Committee has also declared that a member of the Finance Branch of DU will also be present in the Admission Branch. This decision has been taken, keeping in mind the problems faced by different colleges in the receiving of the fee.
It has also been approved by the Standing Committee that the admission process of DU will be done through a private company instead of using the computer center of DU. This has been decided since admission into DU is a huge process.
This year, a total of 90.98% students have passed. Girls have performed better than boys. A total of 94.83% of girls and 90.99% of boys have passed.
The results of those students have not been released who have applied for improvement in one or more papers. These students will be provided the opportunity of taking exams, once the situation improves.
The results of rural areas have been 93.39% while the urban areas’ results have been 91.96%.
