Ramesh Pokhriyal, Union Educational Minister said that the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 could be conducted more than twice, helping students amid the ongoing Covid -19 epidemic which has increased their educational stress.
The Education Minister also said that the officials will try to release the dates of the first phase of the JEE Main 2021 exam soon to give the students sufficient time to prepare for engineering admission during uncertain times.
Ramesh Pokhriyal also mentioned that he can push back the JEE Main 2021 examinations if necessary, however, he did not mention postponement of the exam. The Education Minister also announced during the live session that NEET exam 2021 will not be canceled.
The Education Minister made these announcements today during his live interaction with students related to the conduction of board exams 2021 and entrance exams in the next year. Candidates were motivated to ask their questions using #EducationMinisterGoesLive on Twitter.
However, while answering a question of one of the students, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal communicated the issue of the deduction of the syllabus for the upcoming JEE Main 2021 entrance exam as a one-time criterion for this session.
Ramesh Pokhriyal, Union Educational Minister said while answering the question said they are discussing this constantly. And they are trying how many questions can be phrased in what way that whatever syllabus deduction has happened.
As per the official schedule, this year the second attempt for the JEE Main 2020 was postponed many times due to the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic. The first attempt was successfully conducted for the same in January 2020.
The conduction of NEET 2020 and board exams 2020 was also disturbed this year due to the pandemic, as a result of which the admission procedures of various engineering and medical colleges are still underway, putting a lot of academic tension on the candidates for the approaching academic session.
