One of the biggest health initiatives by the Delhi government, the Mohalla clinic. These clinics earlier used to be in every locality, creating a lot of land issues for the Delhi Government.
But, now these clinics would become portable and compact solving the biggest hurdle for the government – land. These clinics would be made out of shipping containers and installed in the denser population areas. Mostly nearby slum areas which get a huge amount of patients.

MOHALLA CLINIC LOCATION
The first such kind of Mohalla clinic, installed in North Delhi in Chandni Chowk. As well as in the Rani Bagh area of Shakur Basti the constituency of Delhi’s Heath minister Satyendar Jain. During his visits, to the Mohalla clinics, Jain said that.
Once they’re commissioned feedback will be taken and based on that further actions will be taken. The Mohalla clinics’ space is roughly around, 350 square feet making them compact and easy to fit in small land areas.
This also helps in saving the issue of Land and rent, as in a metropolitan city like Delhi. The Rent and Land remain a tricky question. And, this portable clinic helps the Delhi government to keep its promise of building 100 such clinics all across Delhi.
Presently, there are 500 Mohalla clinics in and near Delhi that are either in portable cabins or arranged on a rent basis. The biggest feature of these fully air-conditioned clinics would be, despite a small space size it does not feel cramped. It feels just like an airplane, Jain added.
MOHALLA CLINIC COST AND DIVISION
The clinics were built at 20 Lakh for each clinic. The clinic’s made by joining two containers inside a factory. After which it takes around 3 to 4 days to install these clinics.
The Mohalla Clinics further divides into various sections. Which includes a pharmacy, a waiting area for patients, and an area for test sample collection.
These have become one of the major primary healthcare centers in Delhi. And, is currently one of the biggest health care project models.
