Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia proposed the new – Model Virtual School. Hence, a meeting was held today, i.e. 1st April 2021. Deliberations on the new education model proposed by the state government to streamline virtual classes were made. As an outcome of the meeting, the Delhi Government will be soon launching a virtual model of education.
The model virtual school is a consequence of the online classes that were conducted throughout the year due to pandemic. The proposal of virtual school was also mentioned in the Delhi annual state budget this year.
Statement of Manish Sisodia on the – Model Virtual School:
A new committee was formed by Mr. Sisodia for the implementation of the virtual education model. Hence, Mr. Manish Sisodia chaired this meeting with several other officials. Hence, the committee will be active from now onwards and hold regular meetings to discuss the project and create a blueprint.
In the words of Sisodia, “The dream of anywhere living, anytime learning, anytime testing is one step closer now.” Hence, the model virtual school will be a unique experiment and also the first virtual school in the world. Also, several aspects of various global models of education will be incorporated into the Delhi model.

The work on the design of the school has already started. Hence, the deputy CM will make sure that it starts to function by the next session.

Model Virtual School – the dream project:
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal coins the term ‘Dream Project’. The project was presented in the year’s budget. Hence, a classroom without walls will be created soon. Also, this year’s government allocation for education has been Rs 16,377 crores. Hence, Delhi will be creating its own board and the new virtual model.
