MHRD is going to conduct a seminar that majorly aims at the physical fitness of students. This seminar is scheduled for 3 July at 5 pm.
Coronavirus pandemic has led to a major downfall in every industry. People are not clear about their future. Graduates are not getting many opportunities to start their careers. Employees are not getting any sign of growth in the corporate world. Students do not have any clarity about their academic future. Coronavirus outbreak has affected every section of society in some way or the other. All the educational institutions are shut down due to the nationwide lockdown until the situation gets normal. This pandemic is ruining the country for four months and the cases are immensely rising.
ALMOST EVERY INSTITUTION HAVE CANCELLED EXAMS OF INTERMEDIATE STUDENTS
The government is still not clarified about conducting exams for final year students. Students are unsure about their exams for two months. While the administration is in favor of conducting exams implicating its needs, students are against it and calling their decision as inhumane. Almost every university has canceled exams of intermediate students and promoted them on the basis of internal assessment and previous semester results. There are not canceling exams of final year students and for those students who are going to appear for competitive exams this year. As students are continuously requesting and protesting for cancelation of exams, college administration, central government, some state governments are discussing canceling exams of final year students and competitive exams.
OFFICIALS ARE STILL NOT CLARIFIED ABOUT FINAL YEAR EXAMS
The government and the Ministry of Human Resource Development have still not decided about final year exams. This has left students a state of confusion and panic. There are many students who have to apply to other universities for higher studies. But this indecision has left them stranded. A student that are going to appear for JEE and NEET are in a similar situation. However, students are protesting and raising their concerns against the government body on Twitter. But any of these protests did not affect the government body. There are still up to their decision of conducting exams.
STUDENTS FIND THE AUTHORITIES HYPOCRITICAL
Amidst this, the MHRD is going to conduct a seminar named “ FIT HAI TO HIT HAI INDIA.” This seminar is scheduled for 3 July at 5 pm. The seminar will cover all the questions of students related to their fitness. Physical fitness relies on mental fitness. For being physically fit, one has to be of sound mind. This seminar is concerned with the fitness of students but on the other hand, students are suffering mentally due to the indecisiveness of the government. And that is why students find the authority hypocritical for conducting this seminar.
STUDENTS START REBELLING AGAINST THIS SEMINAR
When students came to know about this seminar, they actively started rebelling against the officials and MHRD. Students from the University of Delhi, NIOS, Gujarat Technical University, JEE and NEET aspirants opposed most actively against this announcement. If the authority is concerned about the physical health of students, they should also be concerned about their mental health too. The MHRD and other officials should take a decision regarding the exams of students and should think for the betterment of students.
