As the novel coronavirus prevails to influence the daily lives of people, here comes good news for students who have completed their schooling this year and want to pursue higher education. Additional 1,330 seats to the existing nine courses are being introduced at IP University.

Manish Sisodia, Delhi’s Education Minister, and Deputy Chief Minister announced that additional 1,330 seats have been added for nine existing courses at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University by the Delhi government for the academic session 2020-21.

At an online press conference at Delhi Central Secretariat, the Education Minister announced the introduction of additional 1,330 seats for IP University. These 1,330 seats will be distributed into nine exiting undergraduate and postgraduate courses at IP University affiliated colleges.

Out of the total, the maximum number of seats has been introduced for the B.Tech programme with a total of 630 seats.

The breakdown for the additional introduced seats for the existing nine courses is as follows – BBA (120 Seats), B.Com (220 Seats), BCA (90 Seats), B.Voc (20 Seats), MSc. Yoga (15 Seats), MMSc (60 Seats), M.Voc (55 Seats).

IP UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES NEW POSTGRADUATE COURSE

Sisodia asserted that the introduction of these additional seats is an effort by Delhi Government to propose opportunities to students during an extremely tough year.

Sisodia added that this is good news for those seeking admission this year as additional 1,330 seats will be offered to them. He further added that these seats are equivalent to opening 5-6 new colleges, contemplating the additional seats that have been allocated this year.

Delhi Education Minister further asserted that when a new college is inaugurated in the country, barely 200 odd seats are made available for students. If we take a look at these additionally added seats, the Delhi Government is furnishing new opportunities for students as the number of additional seats is equivalent to opening 5-6 new colleges for students.
