Recently, University of Delhi officials informed that students who are enrolling for DU admission 2022 must also register in the Academic Bank of Credit (ABC). The news comes in between the admission process being underway. So, it has become mandatory for enrolling students in the academic session 2022-23.
For several months, the varsity has been planning to implement the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) from the present session 2022-23. Further, along with UGCF, many other changes will be seen from this academic year such as executing the necessary to register for Academic Bank of Credit and more by NEP 2020.
Benefits of ABC put forth in DU Admission 2022 Webinars
As Delhi University is conducting several webinars from 27 October to 3 October to help aspirants during their DU admission 2022 process. During one of the webinars, the Dean of Academic activities, Prof. Ratnabali explained the advantages of ABC.

Moreover, she stated, “ABC is kind of a bank account for students studying at Delhi University. Whenever students pass a course/program, four credits will get deposited into their Academic Bank of Credit. Also, in case the students choose additional courses, then also the ABC will function. As a result, according to the credits collected by the students, they will receive a degree or certificate diploma.
Besides the Academic Bank of Credit, University will implement the MEES and a Multidisciplinary approach during this academic session. The MEES stands for Multiple entries and exit system, as the name suggests it will provide flexibility to students studying at university.
