1. Social Justice and Special Assistance Scholarships

To provide financial help to the students of Maharashtra, the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance (SJSA) provide 5 scholarship schemes through the Mahadbt portal.

# Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship:

Eligibility:- The annual income of parents/guardians should be less than or parallel to INR 2.5 Lakh. The student should refer to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Navbouddha category. The student must be a citizen of Maharashtra. The student should have ratified SSC/equivalent matric. In the case of the student studying out of Maharashtra, the identical rules are applicable. SSC/equivalent matric. In the case of the student studying out of Maharashtra, the same rules are favorable. Only two professional courses are allowed.

Benefits:- Maintenance allowance is disbursed into the following 4 groups:
Day scholars: Group I- INR 550, Group II- INR 530, Group III- INR 300, Group IV- INR 380
Hostellers: They are also divided into different groups such as Group I- INR 1200, Group II- 820 RS, Group III- 570 rs, Group IV- 380 Rs.

# Post Matric Tuition Fee and Examination Fee (also known as Freeship)

Eligibility:- The parents/guardian annual earnings should not outperform above INR 2.5 Lakh. The aspirant’s category must be Scheduled Caste (SC) or Neo Buddhist to be eligible for this freeship scholarship. The student should be a citizen of Maharashtra. The student should have passed SSC/equivalent matric. The student’s association should be located in Maharashtra recognized by the Government. The students should concede through CAP round only for Professional Courses

Benefits:- Tuition Fees, Examination Fees & other fees which are essential or compulsorily payable by the student to the organization are wrappaspirants’ct is a mandatory part of course then for printing and typing, an extra of INR 600 will be furnished.

2. Tribal Development Department Scholarships

To provide financial help to the students of Maharashtra, the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance (SJSA) provide 4 scholarship schemes through the Mahadbt portal.

#Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

Eligibility: Only ST candidates are eligible to apply. The annual family earnings should not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh. The candidate should at least have passed the class 10th exam.

Benefits: maintenance allowance (hostellers/day scholars) per month- Group 1: INR 1,200 to INR 550, Group 2: INR 820 to INR 530, Group 3: INR 570 to INR 300, Group 4: INR 380 to INR 230.
Reader allowance for Group1-2 is INR 240, For Group 3 it is INR 200, and for Group 4 it is INR 160. The candidates will receive a protection allowance of INR 160 per month and an exceptional Pay of INR 160 per month. The mentally resigned will acquire extra coaching and be paid INR 240 per month along with the following Study tours of INR 1,600 per annum.

# Tuition Fee and Exam Fee for Tribal Students

Eligibility: The candidate’s annual family income should not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh. Only ST candidates are eligible to apply.

Benefits: Tuition fees and exam fees according to the approved college fee structure will be relinquished under this program.

# Vocational Education Fee Reimbursement

Eligibility: The candidate’s annual family income should not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh. Only ST candidates are eligible to apply. The candidate who is enrolled for vocational education courses such as, Pharmacy, Engineering, Animal Husbandry, Vaastu Shastra, Dairy Development, MBA, and MCA will be qualified.

Benefits: Tuition fees and exam fees according to the approved college fee structure will be relinquished under this program.

# Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance

Eligibility: The candidate’s annual family income should not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh. Only ST candidates are eligible to apply.

Benefits: The maintenance allowance is classified by course period (Hostellers/Day Scholars/) per annum. Course period of 4-5 years INR 7,000 and INR 10,000 respectively· Course period of 2-3 years INR 5,000 and INR 7,000 respectively. Course period of two years or less- INR 5,000.

3. Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) MahaDBT Scholarships

To provide financial help to the students of Maharashtra, the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) Scholarships provide 13 scholarship schemes through the Mahadbt portal.

# Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Scheme

Eligibility: The student should be a domicile of Maharashtra. They should belong to Maharashtra State Border or Karnataka State Border to register for the scholarship. The family annual income should not be more than INR 8 Lakh. The applicant belonging to the general category and have taken admission are qualified to register. The student should not benefit from any other scholarship or stipend. The courses which candidate have enrolled in should be authorized by the government or AICTE. The candidates should not have had two-year of gap during their program. The candidate must have given all semester exams.

Benefits: The applicant will get a 100 percent tuition fee waived for Government & Non-government aided programs for candidates up to Rs. 2.5 Lakh family annual income. For candidates with family annual income up to 8 Lakh will get 50 percent Government and Non-government benefited tuition fees. 50 percent and 100 percent of the exam fee will be compensated for professional and non-professional courses.

# Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Junior Level

Eligibility: The candidates from Class 11 & 12 are qualified to apply. The applicant should have a DHE sanctioned letter. The Maharashtrian candidates studying out of Maharashtra can register for this scheme.

Benefits: The AMS junior-level scholarship reward is up to Rs. 3,000. The AMS senior-level scholarship reward is up to Rs. 7,000.

#Education Concession to the Children of Ex-Servicemen

Eligibility: The candidate’s son/daughter/wife/widow of ex-servicemen are suited for this scholarship. The applicant should be registered in government-aided colleges only. The Maharashtrian candidates studying out of Maharashtra cannot register for this scholarship.

Benefits: The college dress stipend and books stipend is paid up to Rs. 445.

# Eklavya Scholarship

Eligibility: The candidates must have graduated in degree courses of Commerce, Law, and Arts with at least 60% marks and Science with at least 70% marks. The annual income of the student’s parents should not be more than INR 75,000. The candidate must be an inhabitant of Maharashtra state. The applicant should not do a part-time or full-time job. The Maharashtrian candidate studying out of Maharashtra cannot register for this scholarship.

Benefits: The scholarship worth Rs. 5,000 is for all the sanctioned candidates.

# State Government Open Merit Scholarship

Eligibility: The candidate must be a resident of the Maharashtra state. The student should have ensured at least 60% marks in Class 12. This scholarship is for candidates who have enrolled in Commerce, Arts, Science, and Law programs. The Maharashtrian candidates studying out of Maharashtra cannot register for this scholarship.

Benefits: Rs. 100 per month will be paid directly to the candidate’s bank account.

# Scholarship to Meritorious Students Possessing Mathematics/Physics

Eligibility: The applicants should ensure at least 60% in the Science examination and more than 60% in Mathematics and Physics in Class 12. The Maharashtrian candidates studying out of Maharashtra cannot register for this scholarship. The candidate must be an inhabitant of the Maharashtra State.

Benefits: Rs. 100 per month will be paid directly to the applicant’s bank account.

# Government Vidyaniketan Scholarship

Eligibility: The candidate should ensure 60% marks in the Class 10 exam. The applicant should have passed the Class 10 examination from the State Government Vidyanikethan. The Maharashtrian candidate studying out of Maharashtra cannot register for MahaDBT scholarship. The student must be an inhabitant of Maharashtra State.

Benefits: Rs. 100 per month will be given.

# State Government Daxshina Adhichatra Scholarship:

Eligibility: The student must be a graduate candidate from non-agriculture University. The Maharashtrian candidates studying out of Maharashtra cannot register for MahaDBT scholarship. The student must be an inhabitant of Maharashtra State.

Benefits: Rs. 250 per month scholarship amount will get paid by the department.

# Government Research Adichatra

Eligibility: The student must be a post-graduate degree occupant. The candidate must be an inhabitant of the Maharashtra State. The student should have ensured 60% marks in post-graduation. The Maharashtrian candidates studying out of Maharashtra cannot register for MahaDBT scholarship.

Benefits: Scholarship amount Rs. 750 per month and Rs. 1,000 per year for other expenditures.

#Education Concession to the Children Freedom Fighter

Eligibility: The students who are son/daughter/ widow/ wife of freedom fighters are qualified for MahaDBT scholarship. The Maharashtrian candidates studying out of Maharashtra cannot register for this scholarship. The applicants should be an inhabitant of Maharashtra.

Benefits: The scholarship of Rs. 50 per month for PG programs and Rs. 60 per month for Engineering programs. Books allowance: Rs. 200 per annum for PG programs and Rs. 400 per annum for Engineering programs.

# Jawaharlal Nehru University Scholarship

Eligibility: The Maharashtrian candidates who have studied in JNU are eligible. The UG and PG JNU candidates apply for the scholarship. They should be an inhabitant of Maharashtra.

Benefits: Scholarship amount Rs. 8,000 per month and Rs. 10,000 extra annually.

# Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Senior Level

Eligibility: The candidates from Class 11 & 12 are qualified to register. The Maharashtrian candidates studying out of Maharashtra can register for this scholarship.

Benefits: The AMS junior-level scholarship payment is approximately Rs. 2,300. The AMS senior-level scholarship is approximately Rs. 72,000.

# Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DHE)

Eligibility: The candidates should be an inhabitant of Maharashtra. For professional programs, the students who are children of registered labor or Alpabhudarak or both are qualified for the scholarship. The annual income of the family/ guardian should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh. The students should not benefit from other Nirvah Bhatta privileges. The student should seek every semester or annual exam.

Benefits: Professional programs: Rs. 30,000 for 10 months will be paid to candidates studying in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad/Nagpur city belong to borderline landholder family with income up to INR 8 Lakh annually. 4. Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) MahaDBT Scholarships

To provide financial help to the students of Maharashtra, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Scholarships provide 2 scholarship schemes through the Mahadbt portal.

# Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna

Eligibility: The candidate should be an Indian citizen. They should be an inhabitant of Maharashtra state. The student should be a “Bonafide Student of Institute” and conceded for Professional and Technical programs. The students from the deemed institute are not capable. The students should be conceded through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The students cannot benefit from any other scholarship while registering for this. For the new academic year, only two children from a family are permitted to avail privileges of the scholarship. The total income of the family should not be more than Ra. 8 Lakh annually. A minimum of 50 percent attendance in the last semester is needed. During the program duration, the student should not have had a gap of 2 or more years.

Benefits: 50 percent of Tuition Fees and 50 percent of Examination Fees.

# Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vastigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DTE)

Eligibility: The candidate should be an Indian citizen. They should be an inhabitant of Maharashtra state. The student should be a “Bonafide Student of Institute” and conceded for Professional and Technical programs. The students from the deemed institute are not capable. The students should be conceded through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The students cannot benefit from any other scholarship while registering for this. Applicants whose family income is up to INR 8 Lakhs annually will be given the following grants: students who belong to the universities in PMRDA/ MMRDA/ Aurangabad City / Nagpur City will be given Rs. 10,000 for ten months. 5. VJNT, OBC & SBC Welfare Department MahaDBT Scholarships

To provide financial help to the students of Maharashtra, the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance (SJSA) provide 8 scholarship schemes through the Mahadbt portal.

# Post-Matric Scholarship for VJNT Students

Eligibility: The candidate should belong to OBC, VJNT, and SBC categories. The students must be pursuing the education program ratified by the government. The annual family income should not be more than Rs. 1 Lakh. The candidate should register for the scholarship through the CAP system. The student should achieve 75 percent attendance for the recent year.

Benefits: The scholarship eligibility is distributed into Group A- E: Group A- scholarship worth Rs. 425 per month for hostellers and Rs. 190 per month for day scholars. Group B- scholarship worth Rs. 290 per month for hostellers and Rs. 190 per month for day scholars. Group C- The similar scholarship percentage as Group B. Exam, Tuition fee, maintenance stipend are paid 100% to candidates studying in govt/non-aided organization in professional and non-professional programs.

# Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to VJNT Students

Eligibility: The candidate should belong to the VJNT category. The student must be an inhabitant of Maharashtra state. The annual family income should not be more than INR 8 Lakh. The applicants enrolled in degree programs in Health Science etc. are eligible to register. The freeship will be appropriate to candidates enrolled in unaided or aided government colleges in technical education. The applicants who are enrolled in programs such as Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Dairy Development, Fisheries are also eligible to register.

Benefits: 100% of tuition fees and exam fees are paid to students through the CAP system.

# Maintenance Allowance to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in Professional Courses and Living in Hostel Attached to Professional Colleges

Eligibility: The students should belong to VJNT and SBC categories. The candidate’s annual family income should not be more than INR 1 Lakh. The student should be conceded to the hostels in professional colleges. The candidate is not eligible if he or she takes entry in a government hostel. The candidates who are enrolled in professional programs such as Medical, Engineering, Veterinary, Architecture, etc.

Benefits: Maintenance compensation will be paid to candidates admitted in a college hostel up to Rs. 700 per month for a 4-5 years program.

# Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship for Students Studying in 11th & 12th Standard of VJNT & SBC Category.

Eligibility: The candidates should belong to Nomadic Tribes, Vimukta Jatis, and Special Backward Classes. The applicant must be pursuing class 11th and 12th in junior colleges. However, there is no such annual family income limit. The candidates should not have a study gap to register for MahaDBT scholarship. The student must be an inhabitant of Maharashtra.

Benefits: The students will get a scholarship up to Rs. 300 per month for 10 months duration.

# Post Matric Scholarship to OBC Students

Eligibility: The student should belong to the OBC category. The candidates must be pursuing an education program authorized by the government. The application should come through the CAP round for professional programs. The students need 75 percent attendance for the recent year.

Benefits: Group A will get Rs. 425 per month for hosteller and Rs. 190 per month for day scholars. Group B and Group C will get Rs. 290 per month for day scholars and Rs. 190 per month for hostellers. Group D will get Rs. 230 per month for hostellers and Rs. 120 per month for day scholars. 6. School Education and Sports Department Scholarships

To provide financial help to the students of Maharashtra, the School Education and Sports Department Scholarships provide 2 scholarship schemes through the portal.

#Open Merit Scholarships in Junior College:

Eligibility: The candidates should be of class 11th or 12th. The candidate must have attained a minimum of 60% marks in the SSC exam.

Benefits: For applicants in class 11th and 12th: INR 50 per month for 10 months.

#Merit Scholarship for Economically Backward Class Students

Eligibility: The candidates must have secured 50% marks in the SSC exam. The applicants should have cleared their exam in one try.

#Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Fee Reimbursement Scheme

Eligibility: For MBBS/BDS and other programs, aspirants whose family annual income does not overstep INR 8 Lakh.

Benefits: 50% fee compensation (tuition fee + development fee) will be given.

# Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance

Eligibility: The applicant’s family annual income should not overstep INR 8 Lakh. The student’s parents should be enrolled, laborers. The candidate who has taken admission in hostels in Pune, Aurangabad, Mumbai, and Nagpur are qualified. The candidates should have taken admission to degrees such as MBBS, BAMS, BDS, BHMS, etc in government-aided colleges.

Benefits: Hostel maintenance allowance up to INR 3000 per year for candidates pursuing courses in Pune, Nagpur, Mumbai, and Aurangabad and INR 2000 for candidates in other locations. 8. Minority Development Department MahaDBT Scholarships

To provide financial help to the students of Maharashtra, Minority Development Department Scholarships provide 3 scholarship schemes through the Mahadbt portal.

#State Minority Scholarship Part II (DHE):

Eligibility: Graduates and post-graduates from Arts/ Science/Commerce/ Law/Education courses are eligible to apply. They should be an inhabitant of Maharashtra. The family annual salary should be up to INR eight Lakh. 2000 applicants will be provided quota (freshers) under this scenario. The applicants should be “Bonafide Student of Institute” and acknowledged to Professional and Technical courses (diploma/graduation/ post-graduation degree).

Benefits: The scholarship amount up to INR 25,000 per annum is given.

# Scholarship for Students of Minority Communities Pursuing Higher and Professional Courses (DMER):

Eligibility: Candidates enrolled in medical courses like MBBS, BAMS, BDS, etc and programs should be affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik. The applicant family annual income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. 30% scholarship is reserved for female applicants and 70% for male applicants.

Benefits: A total annual course fee of INR 25,000 is waived off for the student.

Applicants can apply for the DTE Scholarship through the Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal. It is a unique platform for its citizens by the Government of Maharashtra to help them take advantage of the various schemes available to them. From the academic session 2018-19, it is mandatory to have an Aadhaar number to apply for any scholarship scheme through the portal. Applicants are advised to watch the instructions carefully and become familiar with all the requirements before filling the scholarship form. Follow the steps given below to apply for the scholarship on the Aaple Government DBT portal:

Step 1: Go to the home page of the Aaple Sarkar DBT portal.

Step 2: Select the scholarship you are eligible to apply for and then to register yourself click on “New Applicant Registration”.

Step 3: fill in the required information and register yourself.

Step 4: The students are expected to verify their email id and mobile number to finalize the registration. Tap on ‘Get OTP for Email ID Verification’ for email verification and ‘Get OTP for Mobile Number Verification’ for mobile number verification. Please take care that both email id and mobile number verification are necessary.

Step 5: Now after successful registrations, log in to the Portal using the registered email id and password.

Step 6: After login, fill in the Aadhaar number and proceed.

Step 7: The students are needed to authenticate their Aadhaar number. There are 2 types of authentication accessible. OTP – If the student’s mobile number is linked with Aadhaar, then they can select the authentication type- OTP. Biometric – If the mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar, then they can select the authentication type as Biometric.

Step 8: After the successful OTP verification of the Aadhaar number, the student’s details fetched from UIDAI will be auto-populated in the address details, personal details, bank details, etc.

Step 9: Now, the students can see the dashboard with available scholarships recorded on it.

Step 10: Choose the scholarship you need to apply for and to start a new application click on the “Apply” button.
