The Fortune Magazine was founded in 1929 by Henry Robinson Luce in the Great Economic Depression of the early 1930s. In his early days, Luce said that this magazine was made for the influential. The total revenues of the companies are used by Fortune for rankings. The other factors which include in the methodology of rankings are employee strength, profits, balance sheet, and others. 1. APPLE
In the Fortune Global 500, Apple is the most valuable tech company in the entire list according to the revenues generated by the company. According to Fortune, the Apple company has a revenue of $260,174 million.
2. SAMSUNG
Samsung is the most valuable tech company in the world according to the Fortune Global 500. According to the list, the revenue of the last fiscal year was $197,705 million.
3. HON HAI PRECISION INDUSTRIES
The Hon Hai Precision Industries had generated $172,869 million in revenue making it the third most valuable tech company. The Hon Hai Precision Industries is the parent company to companies like Foxconn- which is one of the biggest manufacturers of iPhone.
4. ALPHABET
The parent company of Google is Alphabet that earned $161,857 million in revenue in the last fiscal year.
5. MICROSOFT
Tech-giant Microsoft, led by Satya Nadella, generated $125,843 in revenue in the previous fiscal year.
6. HUAWEI
Huawei has generated $124,316 million in revenue despite its ongoing troubles with the US.
7. DELL TECHNOLOGIES
Dell Technologies was able to earn $92,154 million in revenue which is a US-based tech giant.
8. HITACHI
In the last fiscal year, Hitachi earned $80,639 million in revenue.
9. INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES (IBM)
IBM has managed to earn $77,147 million in revenue in the last fiscal year.
10. SONY
In the last fiscal year, the Japanese tech giant Sony generated $75,972 million in revenue.
11. INTEL
Intel, a US-based tech giant, generated $71,965 million in revenue in the last fiscal year.
12. FACEBOOK
During the last fiscal year, the social media giant Facebook earned $70,687 million in revenue.
13. PANASONIC
In order to find a place on the list, Panasonic generated $68,897 million in revenue.
14. HP
During the last fiscal year, HP earned $58, 756 million in revenue.
15. TENCENT HOLDINGS
In the previous fiscal year, China-based Tencent Holdings generated $54,613 million in revenue.
16. LG ELECTRONICS
LG Electronics, a South Korean tech major has generated $53,464 million in revenue.
17. CISCO SYSTEMS
In the last fiscal year, Cisco systems had generated $51,904 million in revenue.
18. LENOVO GROUP
In revenue, the Lenovo Group had earned $50,716 million in the previous fiscal year.
19. PEGATRON
Pegatron, which is another huge Apple manufacturer has made its place on the list of most valuable tech companies in the world with a revenue of $44,207 million.
20. ACCENTURE
During the last fiscal year, Accenture had generated $43,215 million in revenue.
21. ORACLE
During the last fiscal year, Oracle had generated $39,506 million in revenue.
22. FUJITSU
Fujitsu had generated $35,483 million in revenue in the last fiscal year.
23. TAIWAN SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURING
The TSMC had generated $34,620 million in revenue. The TSMC is another Apple manufacturing partner on the list of most valuable tech companies in the world.
24. QUANTA COMPUTER
One of the biggest laptop manufacturers in the world, Taiwan-based Quanta computer, earned $33,313 million in revenue in the previous fiscal year.
25. CANON
Canon generated $32, 961 million in revenue in the last fiscal year, making it possible for Canon to earn a spot in the list of most valuable tech companies in the world.
26. CHINA ELECTRONICS CORPORATION
$32,447 million in revenue was generated by the State-owned Chinese company.
27. COMPAL ELECTRONICS
One of the top manufacturers of monitors, laptops, tablets from brands like Apple, HP, Acer, among others is Taiwan-based Compal Electronics. In the last fiscal year, it managed to generate a revenue of $31,723 million.
28. TOSHIBA
During the last fiscal year, Toshiba earned $31,179 million in revenue.
29. SAP
$30,839 million in revenue was generated by German software major SAP during the last fiscal year.
30. XIAOMI
In the last fiscal year, $29,795 million in revenue was generated by Chinese tech major Xiaomi.
31. HEWLETT PACKARD ENTERPRISE
$29,135 million was generated by the enterprise division of Hewlett Packard which focuses on storage, servers, and networking.
32. NEC
Earlier known as Nippon Electric Company, Japanese tech major NEC generated $28,469 million in revenue in the previous fiscal year.
33. WISTRON
Wistron is another Apple manufacturer that has found its place in the list of most valuable tech companies in the world. It generated a revenue of $28,416 million in revenue in the last fiscal year.
34. NOKIA
During the last fiscal year, $26,096 million in revenue was generated by Nokia.
35. THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC
$25,542 million in revenue was generated by US-based multinational firm Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Along with these, 7 Indian companies appeared in the list of most valuable tech companies in the world by Fortune magazine. On the 96th rank, Reliance Industries featured, this is the highest rank secured by any Indian company on the list. It has now been 17 years that Reliance Industries has been consistently appearing on the Fortune 500 list.
