On Sunday, the first batch of a post-graduate certificate course in leadership and change management (PGCLCM) was started by (Indian Institute of Management) IIM Trichy.
The duration of this certificate course by IIM Trichy is 6 months and it is being offered in association with Times TSW. The program targets working executives as it is an executive education program. In a direct to devise model, the course is being offered in a blended mode on Sunday afternoons.
There are 64 participants with an average work experience of 14 years in the first batch. Abhishek Totawar, program director, PGCLCM, said that sensitizing the growing leaders to see the change as a daily occurrence is what this program attempts at.
Referring to addressing a change as a symbiotic process, director-in-charge of IIM Trichy, Godwin Tennyson, said it is necessary for organizations and for leaders of those organizations to embrace these changes and stay relevant.

Chief human resource officer, Matrimony.com, and Chief Guest for the event, S. Rajesh Balaji talking about the course, mentioned its importance which aims at helping mid-career professionals. He also said that this will also fast track their growth.
