Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has reopened the schools and resumed classes. Hence, the reopening took place as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education and the various state governments individually.
A data compiled with the information from all Kendriya Vidyalayas says that many students returned till 11th February. The phased reopening of the Vidyalaya has started in October 2020.
The actual percentage of the returning Kendriya Vidyalaya students:
The data was provided by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan on Tuesday, 15th February 2021. Hence, an average of 42 percent of the class 9th students and 65 percent of the class 10th students have returned. In the senior secondary section, 48 percent of class 11th students and 67 percent of class 12th students are physically attending classes.
The Union Ministry of Education is happy to witness such great feedback. Hence, they said that the figures are dynamic and increasing every day. However, in some states, the Kendriya Vidyalayas have also reopened for classes 1 to 8th. Hence, the state government has permitted to reopen schools for junior classes also.
Kendriya Vidyalaya on student’s safety:
All the schools are abiding by the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education. Hence, the Sangathan says that all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the central and state governments are being followed.
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the safety measures and protocols are rigidly followed. All the Kendriya Vidyalaya staff and faculty members are explicitly instructed to ensure proper social distancing. Hence, students always wear masks and maintain distance in classrooms also.
However, the provision of online classes is always available. Hence, the return is completely optional for students. Therefore, they can continue learning through digital means and not attend school.
