Junior Skills Championship 2021: The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), to enhance integration of technical and vocational education at the school level, has partnered with CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). NSDC will be launching the first edition of Junior Skills Championship 2021 with CBSE. Candidates can apply at the website- worldskillsindia.co.in/juniorSkills2021. The registration process for the same is open only till 19 February 2021.

Through nearly 21,000 CBSE-affiliated schools across the country, the championship will be promoted which focuses on students who are studying from classes 6 to 12. The event will be conducted virtually this year.

Over the next two months, various activities will be conducted.

Following will be included in these various activities:

  • skill competitions for schools,
  • career counseling webinars,
  • digital seminars and panel discussions,
  • online boot camps and
  • roundtable conference of academicians and corporates

The final stage competition for this will be conducted in April.

The first three levels of this championship i.e. screening, qualifying, semi-final stages will be conducted in an online mode whereas the final level is expected to be held in Delhi in April.

The level of competition will be further divided into three groups like the following:

  • Class 6- 8: Group 1
  • Class 9 and 10: Group 2
  • Class 11 and 12: Group 3
