The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union has approached the controller of examinations in a written appeal pointing out the issues.

The schedule of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE) is announced to begin on October 5 which will go on for three days in different shifts fro admission in UG and PG courses. Many of the aspirants are facing issues and difficulties regarding the schedule of the exam as it is clashing with their other exams and the issue of exam center is also causing trouble.

An Aspirant, Dev Krishnan, shared that he has applied for two courses which are Ph.D. Labour Studies and Ph.D. in Law and Governance and as per the schedule announced both the exams are clashing, he has been given the same date and time for both of them. He further added that although both the courses are from different schools, they are interdisciplinary centers with many possible common areas of research. Many other students must have applied in a similar way fro multiple courses which might have clashing timings or shifts.

The aspirant also shared that he had been given a center which is 40 km away from his home and with no bus route.

Many other students have asserted similar issues. Similarly, there is another aspirant who will appear fro the MPhil Entrance Exam. He lives in Chennai but he will have to come to Delhi to give his exam.

He shared that while filling the form and choosing the center there was a possibility that they might have to give end-sem exams in Delhi physically that is why they chose Delhi as the center.

Students are also demanding that they should be given a chance to change their exam centers now.
