Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is all set for its fifth and sixth phase of reopening. Hence, it will be allowing the entry of 4th year PhD, MSc, and MCA students from 1st February 2021. However, the varsity has previously allowed the entry of PhD science students in the other phases.
Students allowed returning in JNU phase six reopening:
JNU has allowed the return of students from 1st February 2021. Hence, 4th year PhD students from all departments who need access to the laboratory can return from Friday. Both day scholars and hostelers from science centers, special centers, and other centers will be included and allowed to re-enter. Hence, a circular written by Pramod Kumar, the JNU registrar mentions all this in the issued circular.
The MSc and MCA students are also included in the reopening. Hence, all the 4th year MSc and MCA students from science schools and other schools (day scholars and hostelers) will be allowed to return for laboratory usage. This was added to the issued circular by the JNU registrar.
The previously phased reopening was initiated on 21st December 2020. Hence, the PhD science scholars who needed laboratory access for their studies came back. It includes the students from the Person with Disability (PWD) category and other categories.
Sports Complex to Coffee Houses, all set to reopen in JNU:
For the first time, JNU will reopen its sports complex from February 1. However, it will only open for walking and running purposes. The canteen of Aravali Guest House and Indian Coffee House will also open again. However, only take-away facilities will be accessible. The canteen facilities will continue according to the government’s standard operating preventive measures. Therefore, student’s safety will be put at a topmost priority and all protocols will be followed.
The JNI campus will also conduct covid-19 testing camps at regular intervals. Hence, all this is vital owing to the new Covid-19 strain.
