It is reported that the Jawahar Lal Nehru University  (JNU) is re-opening the hostels for the final year Ph.D. and M.Phil students from Tuesday but in a phased manner. Along with the hostels, libraries and laboratories might also be opened. Only those students, as per the official circular, who have to submit their thesis on or before November 30 and 31 July 2021 will be allowed to enter the campus and avail of this hostel facility.

Dean of students, Sudhir Pratap Singh, informed that all the students will have to fill up a self-declaration form. A separate gate pass will be issued by the security branch bearing a passport size photograph of the students to each final year research scholar including the 9B students.

The students will have to get the gate pass signed by the supervisor, Chairman of Dean Students/ or security departments. A copy of the gate pass will have to be submitted at the hostels. After this, the hostel authority will issue another separate ID card for entering the hostel premises.
