Due to the sudden rise in the Covid cases, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has issued a fresh set of covid guidelines. Under the new guidelines, JNU has imposed stricter rules. The Heads are asked to take classes at staggered times. Also, JNU asked students not to go out of the hostler until necessary.
Moreover, all students or visitors from Maharashtra must have a negative RT-PCR report — not older than 72 hours. Else they have to go in a compulsory 14-day quarantine.
The order dated April 11 will be in immediate effect till April 30 or till further orders.
Strict Vigil on students and staff members
The recent JNU guidelines call for rigorous surveillance to be kept. Mainly in the areas of meeting.
Students have to wear masks and maintain social distancing in public places, libraries, laboratories, markets, and hostels. This will enable the authorities to keep a check on covid in the campus.
Staggered working hours
According to the new covid guidelines, Department heads may scheme for the staggering work-hours. And fewer staff for the sake of covid protection.
Staggered working hours or days have to be enforced for laboratories. The smaller centers with less capacity have to remain close.
Also, All deans, chairpersons, and HODs have been requested to take proper actions.
