Exams scheduled in September

Due to the rising coronavirus cases in the country, the University Grants Commission (UGC) released a set of new guidelines. Universities and all other educational institutions are allowed to take Online/Offline mode of exams in the month of September. Earlier, UGC scheduled examinations in July, which is now obsolete.

After the guidelines released, VC said that these fresh guidelines have allowed last semester students of various undergraduate and postgraduate courses, many different alternatives. The final year students can now appear for examinations in September. The new guidelines are wholeheartedly accepted by JNU,  Jagdish said.

“The best practical decision”

Vice-Chancellor cited that the revised guidelines carry the most feasible way to conduct examinations. UGC has directed to take last semester examinations after two months, expecting improved conditions by then. The order will help lakhs of students to fulfill the academic requirements to go to the next session or for getting admission to various universities.

Last Semester Examinations Done

JNU Vice-Chancellor, Jagdish said that many JNU affiliated schools have already  executed last semester examination via online mode.  The students who didn’t appear for the exams have a second option. According to the report,  many students failed to give online exams due to a lack of proper internet. So, these students can appear for the physical mode of examinations, going to be held in September.
