The JMI administration said in the order that this review will be done for administrative reasons and is subject to pension rules.
According to the order, personnel will be evaluated at the level of health, academic performance. At the same time, if the workers are more than 50 years of age, they can be retired by giving notice.
The Jamia Teachers Association has opposed this decision. Teachers Association President Prof. According to Majid Jamil, the Jamia administration has issued this order subject to the Central Service Rules, but the Jamia is autonomous and has its own rules.
In such a situation, Jamia is not obliged to follow the central service rules, but even after that, the administration is going to implement this rule.
Any new rules in the university can be taken only after concurrence in academic and executive council meetings. It cannot be applied as such. He said that there was a meeting of teachers against it on Wednesday, after which the registrar was met and there was a demand to withdraw this order.
