The Jamia Milia Islamia University’s set to reopen in a phased wise manner. The Registrar of JMI, on Wednesday, said that the institute will reopen from November. The University will reopen for the Ph.D. students to submit their thesis by 31 December. The final year students will also be allowed on campus, but only for the clinical and practicals classes.
The number of subjects allowed for offline classes will remain limited. The JMI university in an official notice stated that only the final year students will be allowed.
However, the university has clearly stated that the hostels will remain suspended till further notice. But, The varsity has said that students will have to share. Their latest negative RT- PC reports and the vaccinations students. And, then only Ph.D. and Final year students can get access to the library. But, the teaching for almost all the courses would continue in the online mode. These included Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Certificate courses.
The University has requested the Students, Teachers, and Staff to get vaccinated at the earliest.
The Varsity in the notice has stated some concerns regarding the same. The Jamia Milia Islamia’s concerned and sensitive with the student’s aspirants. But at the same time, the university’s even committed to the safety concerns of health. And the well-being of its student’s teachers. And other administrative and support staff, the University stated in their notice.
JMI REOPENING: ANALYSIS
The orders came after the student organizations opposed the online classes . As these organizations protested outside the JMI VC’s office. And, The left-affiliated student political organizations protested to reopen JMI campuses in offline mode.
The left-wing organizations included All India Students Association and Students Federations of India. But, The student’s body demanded to reopen the campuses in the offline mode. And they protested outside the JMI Vice Chancellor’s office for the same.
