JEE Mains 2021 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency(NTA). Hence, the application forms are now available on NTA’s official site – nta.nic.in. The examination form has to be filled by the candidates with the right personal details. However, an edit option will be available for rectification. The reforms in the JEE Mains 2021 application process can create confusion amidst the students.
What details are required and how to correct an error?
Personal details should include Name, Address, Identity proofs, and education qualification certificates. Hence, the engineering candidates have to accurately populate these details after checking. However, any error made will be eligible for rectification. An edit option will be available on the exam form portal. This option can only be used until the candidate has not submitted the application fees.
However, there is a rectification option available even after the application fee submission. The NTA will open a correction window soon. Hence, the JEE Mains 2021 candidates who fed the incorrect data will get a chance to correct their mistakes.
Dos and Don’ts for JEE Mains 2021:
If a candidate misses selecting slot while form submission, they can edit in the correction window. Hence, NTA allows candidates to add missing details. It can also assign slots to candidates if left empty.
Appearing candidates are guided to upload their e-signatures and a soft copy of their photograph. However, the application form will not be cancelled if a student fails to put their signature.
The appearing candidates are advised to apply for the February JEE Mains 2021 itself. Hence, they should not wait for the March, April, and May examination. However, if any student is unable to appear in the entrance exam, they can request for the next attempt. The fees will be carried forward with no repayment.
A choice of 3 cities has to be made by all the appearing candidates. Hence, the students can appear in any of the three selected cities.
