National Testing Agency ( NTA) announced the dates for all four sessions of the JEE Main 2021 exam on Wednesday. These four-sessions will be held in the months of February, March, April, and May 2021. There will be a total of 4 exam days in each session with two shifts each day. This computer-based competitive examination for admission to various engineering and architecture courses will be offered in 13 languages for the first time from 2021.

The JEE Mains exam is offered in English, Hindi, and Gujarati since the year 2016. From now onwards candidates can now opt to take the entrance exam in 10 other vernacular languages. Namely Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

The registration window for the first cycle has been opened by the NTA from Wednesday and will remain open till 16 janaury 2021. Aspirants can register for all the four sessions and hence make the payment for all the four sessions. If in any case candidate does not wish to appear in a session after making the payment of the fees, the fees for the same will be refunded by the NTA.

Owing to the pandemic situation, the uncertainty of the board and other scheduled exam has prompted  the National testing Agency to offer the JEE Main exam four times a year from 2021. As per NTA, this move will enable the students to improve their scores in multiple attempts if in case they are unable to give their best in single attempt. This will also reduce the chances of year drop and droppers will  not have to waste a complete year. It covers for the circumstances like inability of a candidate to appear for the JEE Main exam if he/she has boards in the same month or due COVID-19 or reasons beyond control.

Although candidates can register for one or more sessions right now, the registration window will be reopened briefly soon after the declaration of results of February, March and April sessions.
