National Testing Agency has postponed the JEE Main April 2021 attempt due to the rising COVID-19 cases. The NTA has released a notification on its official website to inform the class 12th students about the postponement of JEE Main April 2021 exams today i.e. 18th April 2021. The April attempt of JEE make was scheduled to be held from 27th April to 30th April 2021.
Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank’ on Sunday took to his social media account to announce the postponement notice himself. As per the official tweet of the Education Minister it reads, Given the current coronavirus situation, we have advised the postponement of JEE Main 2021 April exam. He added that he would like to emphasize that the safety of students and their academic career is the prime concern of the Education ministry right now.
Revised exam dates for JEE Main April 2021 session to be announced later
The notification released by NTA reads that by looking at the ongoing coronavirus pandemic situation and further taking into account the well-being and safety of students and exam functionaries, it has been agreed upon to postpone the JEE Main April session. The National Testing Agency will announce the revised dates later and the students will be notified at least before 15 days of the examination. In the meantime, students are advised to make use of this time in preparing for the exam. Students can even practice or give tests on the NTA Abhyas Application from the comfort of their homes.
The registration process for JEE Main April session was ended on 14th April. This year, the national testing agency had introduced multiple attempts to provide students the flexibility to appear for the examination and assist students in improving their performance. The JEE Main May 2021 session is scheduled to be held from 24th May to 28th May 2021.
