There have been speculations and dilemmas about the JEE Main 2021 Exam date and syllabus owing to the pandemic year and staggered education and schooling. Amid this scenario, recent development that took place on Tuesday eve added to the speculations.

Only a few days after the Union Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank conducted an online interaction with the students, parents, teachers, and stakeholders on December 10 to address the queries concerned with exams, this development took place.

A document was uploaded on the official website of the NTA concerned with conducting JEE Main 2021. Within a few hours of the exam bulletin and the announcement on news channels declaring the registrations for the JEE Main 2021 open on the onal Testing Agency’s official website yesterday, the Education Minister said that there was ‘ No decision on dates yet’ for the engineering entrance exam.

Later, by the time ministry had issued the statement, the document, and the announcement had been removed from the exam’s official website. The Joint Entrance Exam is conducted nationwide by the National Testing Agency.

The posted document stated that the JEE Main 2021 Exam will be conducted in 4 test cycles for around 16 days from February to May, Once per Month. It also added that there will be 4.14 lakh questions, 384 question papers, and in 12 languages.

The notice further mentioned that the registration for JEE Main 2021 for the February cycle will begin later this week and as the entrance exam will be conducted once each month, the candidates will be provided a window of one week to apply for the exam in the subsequent month. And that the result will be announced in 4-5 days after concluding the exam.

BTE DELHI CANCELED ODD SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

At around 7 pm, all the information brochures and bulletins relating to the JEE Main 2021 exam were taken down from the NTA Website.

Since in the JEE Advanced 2020, 8754 candidates out of2.2 lakh candidates were from a vernacular medium, hence the NTA feels that conducting the test in a vernacular language can help candidates in improving their ranks.

Officials later clarified that the dates have not been decided yet and that the uploaded bulletin and information was only a dummy.
