Dates for the engineering colleges entrance exam JEE ADVANCED to be announced today. Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is expected to announce the dates for JEE ADVANCED along with the eligibility criteria for the same.
Education Minister had earlier announced JJE MAINS level exam dates through his social media handle.
JEE MAINS exam, this year, will be held in a four-phase cycle. Notably, the dates for JEE MAINS are February 23 to 26, March 15 to 18, April 27 to 30, and May 24 to 28.
JEE MAINS exam this year is also going to be conducted on a new pattern. The appearing candidates will have to attempt 75 questions out of a total of 90. OR 25 questions out of 30 in each section namely: chemistry, physics, and mathematics.
Top rank holders of JEE Mains, around the top 2.5 lakh candidates, are further selected for the JEE Advanced exam. Those clearing JEE Advanced see their way to IITs.

In the eligibility criteria, a candidate also needs to score 75% marks in 12 Board examinations apart from clearing JEE Main to be eligible to take JEE Advanced exam.
As in the year 2020, most of the boards had given marks based on the average of best scores as not all exams could be conducted due to pandemic. So, this criterion of 75% marks was relaxed in the year 2020.
