Entrance examinations for admission to various Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), Diploma, and PG Diploma programs at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) have commenced on the university campus. The examinations will resume on August 28. The exams are being conducted in 2 shifts.

In the first shift, entrance tests for PG Diploma in Broadcast Technology and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) were held. MA in Conflict Analysis and Peace Building, Bachelor of Fine Arts(BFA-Applied Arts), MTech- Computational Mathematics, and PG Diploma in Urdu Mass Media entrance tests were conducted in the afternoon shift.

The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) university mentioned that the COVID-19 related protocols and guidelines were followed during the examinations.

Professor Najma Akhtar, JMI Vice-Chancellor showed her satisfaction with the timely beginning of the entrance tests amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Professor Akhtar admired the efforts of the Controller of Examination, teachers, Deans, and his team for the successful organization of the entrance exams.

The university said entrance exams for several courses having an impressive number of applicants. The exam will be performed at exam centers in other cities such as Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Patna, Srinagar, Lucknow, and Gauhati.

After the ebbing of the covid-19 cases, Delhi University has begun with its admission process in full swing. Hence, starting with postgraduate admissions, the DU PG application window has opened from today. All the aspiring candidates can check for updates on du.ac.in or nta.ac.in. As for the PG admission criteria, 50 percent of seats will be offered via DUET. But, the other 50 percent seats will be allotted to students already pursuing UG admission in DU via merit of the qualifying exams.
