On Wednesday, Jamia Millia Islamia announced it will conduct written tests for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
This year due to the COVID-19 epidemic, Jamia Millia Islamia University was considering taking merit-based admissions, but at the Executive Council (EC) meeting held on Tuesday, it decided to conduct the entrance exam for admission.
The Executive Council has also stated that the results of the last semester/year of several programs will be announced by the University at the earliest.
From June 5 to June 20, the University has performed the last year/semester examinations of each faculty other than the Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (CPRS) and Faculty of Dentistry (FOD).
It has been stated that in view of the current COVID-19 status, students will be enabled to deposit university and school fees in two installments.
Though, students are expected to deposit the total fee before distributing the admit card for the annual / semester/board examination.
The university added, the Election Commission has also approved the proposal and final structure of an Integrated Jamia Library System (IJLS), under which libraries of all 34 JMI faculties and centers will be converted into one IJLS.
