Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has also decided to take the route of Open Book Exams (OBE). Hence, like many other universities, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will adopt the Open book method after cancelling the regular physical semester exam. Therefore, the students are asked only to use Laptops and PCs.

The Academic Council of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) took this decision on 30th December 2020. Hence, the Council decided to hold the examinations from mid-January. The varsity has also decided to conduct a mock test. Hence, the mocks will be conducted before the examination schedule is out.

Najma Akhtar, the vice-chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) said that she would write to the Undergraduate Commission (UGC) for suggestions and help. Hence, they would be deciding on the plan of action.

All the necessary guidelines required for the Open Book Examination (OBE) will be taken into consideration beforehand. A lot of criticisms of the OBE has been upcoming off lately. Hence, focus on eliminating the shortcomings of the Open Book Examination (OBE) has to be made.

The Academic Council has also decided to upload the individual mark sheet and scores on the online platforms itself. The AISA unit of the varsity claims that the online admission process did lack transparency. Hence, the exam process will also be a similar one. However, to eliminate all such accusations, the University decided to upload all student’s detail online.

Jamia Millia Islamia on adopting the method used by Delhi University :

Delhi University completed the semester exams completely on the digital route. Hence, the Vice-Chancellor decided to closely examine the method adopted by the Delhi University. This can prove to be handy in implementing its examination process. Therefore, the Executive Council of the institute will meet today, i.e. 31st December 2020 to further deliberate on this matter.
