As the coronavirus cases are declining drastically in the National Capital, almost all the universities including Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University have reopened colleges. Consequently, students of Jamia Milia Islamia university are also demanding the higher authority to resume their classes in physical mode.
So, JMI has nodded to this demand and it will soon issue a circular on the resumption of offline classes. JMI will reopen in a phased manner. However, the authority has not yet decided the official dates of reopening the varsity now.
WHICH COURSES WILL RESUME CLASSES IN PHYSICAL MODE?
Waseem Ahmed Khan, Chief Proctor of JMI said that the varsity would first give preference to Ph. D scholars, physiotherapy, and dentistry students. All the students who are in their final years will reach the college first.

On the other hand, courses which need practical classes more will be their priority. Talking about the mode of examination, the Chief Proctor said that if students attend physical classes, their exams would be conducted in physical mode only.

As everything was in online mode for the last two years, things will take some time to be in a regular state. So, the authority is planning everything according to the needs of the students. They are setting up a new contract for the canteen and completing the reopening work outside the hostel.
STUDENTS MUST SUBMIT THEIR VACCINATION AND RT-PCR REPORTS
Students have to follow all the norms and protocols of the pandemic while returning to the campus. They have to furnish their vaccination certificates and RT-PCR reports as well. Jamia Milia Islamia University will now begin the application process to allot hostel rooms. 3500 students can stay in the hostel.

So, other central universities have also released the notice of regulating physical classes. Delhi University will resume physical classes from 17th February. On the other hand, Jawaharlal Nehru University has also reopened the campus from 7th February.
