The University of Delhi has more than 70 colleges and a plethora of courses to offer. Also, these courses are offered at diploma, doctorate, graduate and postgraduate levels. Thus, each and every course has its own fee structure. Also, the fee structure of various courses varies from college to college. In total, Delhi University provides 201 courses in the field of business administration, management, education, commerce, and more. Hence, it is obvious that the fee structure will vary. Here is the average fee range of various Delhi University college courses:

  • For BA (Hons): Subjects like Economics, Political Science, History, English, Journalism, etc are offered. Hence, the average course fee ranges between Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 50,000.
  • For BSc (Hons): Subjects include Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, etc. Thus, average fees starts from Rs. 15,000 and onwards.
  • For BCom (Hons): The average fees is Rs. 14,000 to Rs 81,000
  • For MA courses: The average fees is Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 40,000

Some students consider studying at Delhi University costly, know why:

Affordability is a very subjective matter and depends from student to student. Hence, some students might find a certain amount of fee cheap while it might be costly for others. As per general facts, fees of good North campus college range between 14,000 to 20,000 on an average. But, most of the colleges do not have hostel facilities. So, students often search for PGs near their colleges that cost a whopping amount of money. Even a hosteler at Hindu or Miranda spends 60,000 to 80,000 per annum for residence. At St. Stephens College, the residence facility costs 1.4 to 1.6 lakh per annum which is a burden on the pockets.

Hence, some students think that for a government-aided university, DU is a bit costly. The fee, as well as the accommodation facilities, often increase the amount per annum.
