New Admission Modes for IPU Admissions 2025
The university has introduced new admission criteria for several programmes:
- Post Basic BSc Nursing: Now includes interviews and merit for the qualifying exam. Earlier, only CET scores were considered.
- BSc-MSc Dual Degree (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics): CET and qualifying exam merit added. Previously, only JEE Main and CUET scores were used.
- MS Packaging Technology: Now includes GATE, UGC-NET, and CSIR-NET scores. Earlier, only CET and CUET were considered.
- BS Packaging Technology: JEE Advanced, JEE Main, and NEET scores added. CET and CUET were previously the only criteria.
- MTech in Food Processing Technology: Qualifying exam merit included. Earlier, only GATE and CET scores were used.
- MTech in Biotechnology: Qualifying exam merit is now required. Previously, only GATE and CET scores were considered.
- BSc and MSc in Environmental Science: CET scores added. Earlier, only CUET and qualifying exam merit were used.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
The university has increased the EWS scholarship fund ceiling from ₹2.5 crore to ₹3.5 crore. This move aims to provide financial assistance to needy students.
Offshore Campus in Guyana
GGSIPU is set to open an offshore campus in Guyana. This initiative is supported by the Guyana government.
Lateral Entry Admissions
Lateral admissions for BTech and BPharm programmes will start at the East Delhi Campus.

- BA in Liberal Arts: Psychology has been added to the four-year programme. The intake has increased to 80 seats.
- CUET for Vacant Seats: Admission to 20 undergraduate and 18 postgraduate programmes will be conducted through CUET for vacant seats.

Admissions to IPU will also be based on national-level exams like JEE Main, NEET (UG, PG, SS), CAT, CMAT, NIMCET, CLAT (UG, PG), UCEED, and NATA. Some programmes will consider merit in qualifying exams.
