Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, popularly known as IP University is offering online admission in 185 programmes. There are around 40,000 seats available in the university. So, the varsity has launched its online admission process to grant admission to the students.

This year, IP University is offering admission into six new programmes. Those undergraduate and postgraduate courses are Interior Design, Industrial Design, and Interactive Design at the School of Design and Innovation. Moreover, it has also launched M.Ed. in Special Education, i.e., Intellectual Disabilities.

DELHI STUDENTS GET A HIGHER PREFERENCE IN IP UNIVERSITY

85 percent seats of the total seats at IP University are reserved for students from Delhi. Students have to appear for an entrance exam for the courses. It will be in computer-bases mode. On the other hand, some entrance would be through all-India competitive examinations. The courses for the same are in the field of medicine, law, and engineering.

COURSES OF IP UNIVERSITY ARE INDUSTRIAL BASED

Mahesh Verma is the Vice-Chancellor of IP University. He said that the university provides all the multidisciplinary courses according to the National Education Policy.

So, he further said that students can find several courses at the varsity. All the courses are framed according to the needs of the industry and society. The courses would help graduate students to focus on employability. The varsity also gives importance to the placement of the students. Despite the pandemic, it regulated around 1,500 placement drives. Moreover, 8,000 students got placement offers in the reputed companies.

On the other hand, the varsity also offers two scholarships schemes for the students belonging to economically weaker sections. In the scheme, students get financial assistance from the varsity. So, more than 523 students have already received that scholarship in the year 2021-22. However, the other scholarship is related to merit. Delhi government has already disbursed ₹29.73 crore to 4,897 students for the year 2020-21. Students can fill out the application form by 30th April.
