Black lives matter is an organized movement that fights against police brutality. It is a movement that advocates police violence towards black people and there are many policy changes necessary to be carried out for black liberation.

CAPITOL HILL AUTONOMOUS ZONE ALSO CALLED ZACH
There are many protests taking place in relation to black lives matter. In relation to the protest, a 46-year-old Indian American engineer turned social activist is at the forefront of black lives matter protest. The downtown area is now designated as ‘Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone’ also called ‘ZACH’. The protests for black lives matter is to permanently expel city police officers from the downtown area.

PRECINCT FOR CITY POLICE
The Seattle city councilwoman, Kshama Sawant, is urging for the police officials to give them precinct or allow them in the barricaded region. There are many protests carried down in the United States that resulted in the death of 46-year-old African American George Floyd. He was in police custody. Protesters are fighting with police for weeks. Pune born Sawant has designated a “no cop” zone and now urging protester to hold on their protest to the six-block region. The Seattle councilwoman said that she will introduce legislation to convert the prevent into a community centre for restorative justice.
MOTIVE TO CONVERT PRECINCT INTO COMMUNITY CENTRE FOR RESTORATIVE JUSTICE
She said that their movement needs to ensure that East Precinct is not handed back to police but is turned over permanently into community control. Her office is working on converting the east precinct into a community center for restorative justice. She allowed many protestors who were protesting into city halls. Their protest was mainly for Mayor Jenny Durkan to resign. She said that her main reason for doing this is to tell the cops that the city hall belongs to people. She wanted to diversify groups of protesters to be heard in the halls of power. The report said that more than 1000 protesters talk about defunding the Seattle police department, banning the chemical weapon used by police, and about Mayor Jenny Durkan’s resignation.
The legislation is still not confirmed. Many protests will be done by the social activists and other people for black lives matter. These protests would soon result in some or other changes.
