The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kanpur is going to organize the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, i.e. GATE 2023. IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee, and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore will collectively conduct the entrance exam and admit students based on it.

On 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th February 2023, the Indian Institute of Technology would conduct GATE 2023. The institute will open the applications portal in September. Moreover, it will announce the GATE 2023 information on the official website gate.iitk.ac.in. along with it.

IIT Kanpur to hold GATE 2023

IIT Kanpur has not yet disclosed the official website of GATE. however, the website will be launched in a few days. IIT will hold the entrance exam in a Computer Based Test, i.e. CBT format.

Schedule of GATE 2023

On 12th and 13th February 2023, IIT Kharagpur, will host the entrance exam. The shift of the exam would be from 9 am to 12 pm, and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. On the other hand, IIT Bombay held GATE 2021, IIT Delhi conducted GATE 2020 and IIT Madras organized GATE 2019.

Eligibility Criteria of GATE 2023

Students who are going to appear for this entrance exam must have a comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering, sciences, humanities, and social sciences. They must be in their third or higher years of under-graduation. Students can also graduate with any government degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Sciences, Commerce, and Arts.

Courses to get admission through GATE 2023

Through the entrance exam, students are eligible to get admission to post-graduation programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, and Architecture. Moreover, they can also get admission to Doctoral programs in Arts and Science stream.

On the other hand in the institutions supported by the MoE and other Government agencies. Additionally, some Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also use the GATE score as an eligibility criterion in their recruitment processes.
